Advice please and thank you!

I have a 2017 with 80k being ready next week. I bought it last week and was upsold what I assumed was the ESP warranty but it's some third party called priemer dealer that gets really bad reviews. I did see where someone discovered that they had also been upsold this but then got prorated money back after they found out how bad it is so now I'm wondering if I should do the same (3500 bucks) and spend that on the truck delete and other stuff to make more reliable. I live in west Texas and know where to go and am pretty sure I can get an inspection done without issues.

What would you do? Next time I won't be so freaking eager!

I would read the cancellation policy and execute it. the only ESP that is any good is a FORD one.

Do any of the ESP's cover the emission components? If not then all of the plans are a waste of money in my book.

I did check on the Ford ESP but apparently 80,000 miles is too many miles for a plan with them. I'm going to look into canceling that I need to bring in my payment down or being reimbursed and use that for the truck. These aftermarket warranty companies I hear are mostly crap. That's what I get for trusting my finance person

He's not your finance person. He's a salesman.

I hope you get your money back.

It used to be that the Ford ESP was only available for purchase while within the 3/36 warranty period. I've read that has changed and you can now get the Ford ESP outside that period.

Oh?? I had hoped for that but when I tried to buy one online it told me that 83k miles was too many. This was on flood ford site. Where can I go to buy one? I'll check more more.

Thanks!

Check out these guys:

https://www.lombardfordwarrantys.com/

I believe I've seen someone else mention them here...

EDIT

Purchase Questions

Am I able to buy a Ford ESP for my vehicle from you if I didn´t buy the vehicle from you?
Yes, as long as your vehicle meets the eligibility criteria we can sell you a plan regardless of where you purchased the vehicle. Presently, plans are available for vehicles from model year 2004 or newer, as long as the current odometer reading is less than 140,000 miles.
Why are the plan prices I find on this website so much lower than I was quoted locally?
Since we offer the genuine Ford ESP coverage nationwide, and have been doing so online since 2002, we are able to sell at a lower price because of the volume of sales we achieve. Our business model was to offer online shoppers the official genuine Ford ESP products at a great value, so they would not have to settle for a lesser online plan offered by a third party company.

Are the Extended Service Plans offered on this website backed by Ford?
Yes, these are official genuine Ford ESP plans backed by the vehicle manufacturer Ford Motor Company. Only a franchised Ford dealer is authorized to sell the official Ford ESP coverage and Lombard Ford, Inc. has been doing so since our inception in 1982 and our online sales began in 2002.

Do you offer a payment plan?
Yes, we offer 0% financing with no additional cost to you. Ford ESP and Budco Financial Services have teamed up to create a no-interest financing plan.
  • Interest-free payments
  • No credit application
  • No credit checks
  • No waiting for credit approval
  • As little as 10% down payment
  • Flexible Payment Terms
  • Flexible payment options:
    • Direct debit to checking/savings account
    • Automatic monthly charge to your VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express
    • Monthly Invoice
  • Online payments available

I give Lombard a thumbs up! I have bought dozens of warranties from them. Great people either try the website or call them directly. For a used vehicle you will need a dealership to sign the ESP inspection, this is about 100.00 for the inspection.

Below is who I have dealt with.

That's awesome! I'll talk to my dealer tomorrow about a refund to purchase the official warranty.

Really appreciate the help!
