Aftermarket tailgates?
Anyone ever buy an aftermarket tailgate? Original ones are bringing strong money, yet I can buy a new one (without internals) for $110 from NPD. Mine is shot; so beat up it's hard to open. I'm not looking for show quality, but I don't want it to fold up if I sit on it. Are they any good for a working class truck?

with aftermarket, you get what you pay for. and body panels are usually not very well fit, or finish. and much thinner metal than factory.
when i needed a tailgate for the body shop, i would call my local junk yard.
