Does anyone know what crank casting number would've come on a 1992 F-150 5.0? I was looking up cranks and even machine shops were recommending a 2MAE crank to me, but it looks like that it potentially not an exact fit because of the front balance. It also appeared like the 2MA was an older crank, and later blocks came with a different cast number. Does anyone know if 2MA cranks were sprinkled in to the later year trucks, or what casting # my truck would have if they all switched to something else?
My knowledge on these crank castings is very rudimentary, so I really have no clue. If it's a mixture of multiple cranks, I'll pull mine out before buying one (I need a new one so I was just going to order so it's here when the engine is out).
