1977 9” Axle vent tube thread?
Finished prepping and painting my rear end housing today, and forgot that during disassembly, when I cleaned all the grease and dirt from around the axle vent tube, it just kinda fell out. It is the style that the vent tube threads in and holds the distribution block to the axle. Need to see about cleaning the threads up, but don’t know the thread size. Any help?

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking it was bigger than 3/8, the 7/16”-20 seemed like it wanted to go but I was afraid to commit before I had input. Thanks for the link, I need to order some hardware and such too. Going overboard on the rebuild, but it’s going to look better than the day it rolled off the line.
