Clunking noise from rear(pass side), seeking insight
Hello All,
I'm new to this forum, but not to Ford Trucks. I'm having a bit of a problem trying to figure out a issue with my 03' HD Ed. Here goes:
From a cold start, when pulling off, you hear a popping, clunking sound from start at low speeds, which I've determined is coming from the rear (pass side) Once the vehicle warms up in travel, the sound goes away, but still vibrates as you apply brakes coming to a stop. This truck should be considered a 2020, for all bushings, tires, bent wheels replaced, tie-rods, rotors, brakes, shocks, & rear wheel bearings have been replace within the last 7mths after purchasing the truck. I've had the transmission and rear-end inspected/service from 2 different shops and both stated, nothing is wrong with either. The only thing I consider that may be the issue is, the shop wasn't able to install the Belltech shocks, so they opt to install 'regular' heavy duty shocks for a F150. (I will replace w/Bilstein when $$ allows me to.) Any suggestion on what may be the problem? Forgive me if this posting is out here. I wasn't able to find it in my search before posting.
Update: Thanks for all the input. I was able to get it checked out and it was discovered that there is a leak from when the rear bearings were replaced., so the shop honored there work and will take care of it.
