Any advise on a good setup would be appreciated, really not looking for more power or anything like that right now but sure would like to get more than 15 mpg.
I've read there are some canned tunes that work well, google search brings up nothing ( I understand why)

Internet Forum is not a good place to search.......you might have better luck on F#%Kbook. They have a 6.7 group that might be more willing to talk. Or just get to know some guys in your area, likely somebody knows somebody, if you get the idea.
I'm running a auto agent/eas
ylink there are many tune writers for it. GDP writes really good ones. With emissions present or without. And the have low smoke tunes I'm getting 22.3 mpg driving like an adult
I'm averaging 15,2 the way it sits, if I could get 22 that would be quite the increase, haven't had a chance to do the math $1300 for a tuner, really something that Im not going to get any benefit from other than the added fuel mileage, the way the truck is now it has no performance issues, tows well etc.
local diesel shop said they can have the unit in just a few days and it uses easy link to program, not sure if I want canned tunes though.
Most of the so-called tuners are a complete waste of money (e.g. that overpriced OBD2 (SAE, ISO protocols) to Wi-Fi gouge from EZ Lynk above) and ultimately do more harm than good. Ford and AVL modeled the daylights out of the 6.7L and some rednecks w/paychecks, knuckleheads w/laptops, wanna-be code slingers (who frankly wouldn't know a "cloud" from a real cloud if if dropped out of the sky and landed on their mugs) are going to do better?
The way I see it is if you're driving the speed limit, driving on flat lands such as FLA, accelerate easy at lights, possibly have the 3.31 gears, you probably will get that. But to assume everyone will get 22 mpg with a deleted truck is ludicrous. I get over 18 mpg on my road trip to KY driving 70 to 78 mph. But again, I'm not at a speed of 55 or 60, plus I'm driving through the Appalachian Mountains. Same here in WNY. The Appalachian mountains start here. I have a mix of hills, country roads ( a few stop signs), expressway driving and some stop and go driving. In the summer time, I'll see from 14ish to 16 mpg depending on the circumstances. My mileage drops at least 1 mpg for the winter fuel and also four wheel drive use in the snow.
There is no freakin way you’re actually getting 22 mpg is there??? How am I getting 8??!!
if you’re getting 8 unloaded, something is seriously wrong. I don’t even drop that far during regen. I can break 20 unloaded driving conservatively, usually 17-19 driving normally.

The factory has to follow rules to meet certain standards, aftermarket tuners don't, every computer controlled direct injected HD diesel pickup can gain power and fuel mileage from a better tune and its been that way for over 20 years, you must have been living under a rock the whole time.

I had my truck deleted and tuned back in Oct of 2018. I traveled to Georgia and back from Texas and got 19 mpg avg with 4 adults and loaded bed of luggage. I routinely get 17 mpg driving like an adult with 70 hwy/ 30 town driving.
Hell, my 2018 Mazda CX-9 AWD (2.5L, 4 cyl) only averages 22 mpg on the hwy.
