2017 F-350, 6.7 emissions,,
then went to autozone and pulled a code on it. P2002,
took it to my local repair shop (not ford) and that evening they called and said that the cat and dpf had a TSB stating to be replaced when this code is shown.
he also stated he was quite sure this would fall under a emissions warranty not the normal 3yr / 36,000 mile warranty,
i called the dealer where i bought the truck and he said yes, it falls under emissions warranty,
called my local dealer and spoke with the service manager and he said bring it in, they inspected and determined that the cat and DPF needed to be replaced and it would be zero cost due to under emissions warranty, 8yrs / 80,000 miles. https://www.motor1.com/reviews/375759/ford-warranty/
Warranty Type Bumper-to-Bumper Coverage Bumper-to-Bumper 3 years/36,000 miles
Powertrain 5 years/60,000 miles
Safety Restraint System 5 years/60,000 miles
Corrosion (Perforation Only) 5 years/Unlimited miles
Diesel Engine 5 years/100,000 miles
Emissions Up to 8 years/80,000 miles
they replaced the DPF and cat and also did a recall on the steering dampener.
picked up the truck and drove around town, worked well 2 days local, yesterday drove about 75 mile round trip and on the way home the check engine light came on again, went to autozone and pulled the code, P2201, NOx sensor circuit range / performance bank 1, entered the code to find online and it states
"The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors the NOx sensor and sets the code when the NOx sensor circuit voltage reading is not within the normal operating threshold for a specific engine bank."
my question is, is this common for this to go out?
or go out after a DPF / cat replacement?
are there things that will be going out after a DPF / cat replacement that should have been done at same time?
can this be caused by fuel?
i bought from a local fuel station of a grocery store instead of a major oil company for about 4 months now,,,, no issues other than this
any help or knowledge about this is appreciated
Darryl
