Supercharged 5.4 from Mustang GT into 06 Navigator
So my 06 Nav has the 5.4, is it basically the same engine as the supercharged 5.4 in an 04-06 Mustang GT?
Thinking my Nav would be right spry with an additional 240 hp...

I could see it being an interest8ng swap, however, that supercharged engine was only in 07-09 Shelby GT500 mustangs, and they command high prices, the standard mustang gti was just a 3v 4.6 with 300hp. The engine in your Navigator is the 5.4 3v sohc, not the 4V Dohc 5.4 used up until the 05 MY navigator, so different engine, would be way too much work to make it work properly. The ZF 6hp26 gearbox can be made to handle the power and torque reliably, but the stock trans I believe would fail behind that engine. Then, the transfer case and the diffs and driveshafts would be a weak link with that much power in that heavy of a vehicle. However, anything can be done if you throw enough money at it!
