Rainwater into the door ???

For awhile now I've noticed water leaking from the open drivers door after a substantial rainfall. All the weatherstripping looks good and tight so I really don't think it's coming in through them. I'm suspicious now of the sunroof drains (yes, factory installed sunroof). Does anyone have any experience with leaks of this type and maybe explored the routing of the drain ???? Looks to exit into the
A-pillar from what I can see. Never noticed any water coming from the passenger sided but I expect the drain system to be symmetrical. Would I be asking for trouble to try and blow it out with air ??? Looking from the topside there's no obvious obstruction visible.

ThanX all. Stay corona free !!!!

Check the drain holes on the bottom of the door. Gently poke a non-sharp instrument into them. If they're blocked, you may be to take off the door panel to clear the drains.

The factory sunroof does have 4 drains, one at each corner. The front drain tubes are routed down the A-piller, and drain out the bottom of the truck. the rear drains are routed down the piller between the front and rear doors out through the bottom. Is it possible you are just noticing the front drains now? I notice the puddle under some of the locations after going through a car wash. All these moon roofs are designed to leak with a water management tray on all 4 edged that channel the water to the front or rear drains.

As for blowing out, I would NOT do that. What happens is that the force of the air blows the drain line off of the tray. The only way to then fix that is to pull the headliner, and a-pillar covers to reattach. If your truck isnt sitting level (front to back, or side to side), then you wont see water drain out of all of them. If you want to put something down to clear a possible plugged drain, I'd find some pipe cleaners.

If you do have one or more plugged, then you'll likely find wet carpet under your floor mats.

EDIT: you can test each drain by pouring water from a cup into the tray near each corner. you should see the water coming out the bottom of that location within a few seconds.

The link above will help you diagnose where the water is coming from. Very informative thread.

ThanX for the suggestions so far. My weep holes are clear. If I park it nose high the water freely drains out. Mine is a '15 and this is a very recent issue. After looking at the above referenced link I need to look closer at the cab lights also. I bought the truck off the lot and it has cab lights. Not sure if they were an option or not but I got them so that's another place to look. Yesterday when I pulled up on the driveway to drain I also noticed (for the first time) a drip from the left lower corner of the dash. Right above the parking brake release handle. I suspect that it's all connected and when I find the source I hope I can seal it up. Not sure if this would be a warranty issue, I have an extended warranty that's still good.

I have this happen if I park "nose low" on my driver side rear door. If I park "nose high" no issues. I've checked the drain holes and everything seems fine. Will ask the dealer to check it out next time i take it in.

It could easily be that the tube on the front driverside corner has already come off the drain nipple on the moonroof. Body shop guy told me thats the one that comes off the most.

If you have ESP, then I'd for sure bring it in.
