I had my dealer do my first fuel filter change on the 19 1000 miles ago. Just by chance I was looking around the engine bay and checked the fuel lines. My filter cap appeared to be loose , maybe 1/4 turn is what If needed so called dealer and took it right in. The area around the filter 100% dry so no leaks which I thought was weird for it appearing to be so loose. We took lines off and re seated lid and it snugged right up just like before. Put lines back on and fired it up. The lid has a mechanism kind of like a radiator cap where you can’t get it to tight. Lid still seems loose to me but it’s not leaking and tech said that’s how it’s designed. Is this how yours are? Thanks.
Strange that even after taking it back to the dealer they didn't realize that the filter was not seated in the filter housing. Besides isn't the middle hose kind of stiff and difficult to reinstall if the filter isn't aligned properly in the filter housing

I thought that was a bit strange but the regular diesel guy was not in on Saturday. Another tech helped me. So it’s all good. Normal.
