3spd on the column 4x4

3spd on the column 4x4
I am trying to find what the transmission # is for my 3spd on the column in my 79 f100 300.. I am wondering what it would take to convert it to 4x4 while keeping the column shift.. I know most parts are interchangeable in old fords but Im not finding much info on the 3spd. I have a 400 im rebuilding with a c6. But looking to limp along with a 3 on the tree and 300 out of my 2wd putting in my 4x4 for the time being. If it would just take a transfer case I have an extra one. I understand a small block c6 would solve my problems but Im not looking to buy an extra transmission. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
