I need a complete set of later dent side 4x4 hubcaps for my truck or at least part numbers for the correct parts- I will be posting a complete thread on it:
'92 F350 4x4 frame, '78 crew body / bed, 12 valve, nv4500....
type 12, 16" wheel 2wd. I need to cut out the hub for the front as it has a larger axle installed. the "stock" caps are 1/4" too narrow. also are these caps stainless or chromed steel? thank you
So I guess now I need to find out if the rear hubs are going to work with the depth of these, (sterling 10.25)
the fronts will need to be punched as the dana 60 hubs aren't as thin as the original axle hubs...
78 and 79 f250 and f350 used the type 12, the early 80's did as well. those are all over ebay cheap.
Introduced in 1978 F250/350, Type 12 is 12 5/16" diameter. 4WD front hub caps were only available with full time drive. These caps were also used in the 1980's.
TYPE 2: 1967/77 F250 2WD & F350 // 1968/74 E300 // 1975/77 E250/350. Both stainless and painted argent were available.
1967/68: There were both "innies and "outies for F250's.
The "mag" style wheel covers were introduced in 1979: D9TZ-1130-A
What did the 1967/68 "innies" look like? I have a pair of "innie" wheels that came off of the rear of a 1973 F-350 Super Camper Special. They are 16.5" x 9.75". I bought them sight unseen, assuming they would be "outies", like all the other ones I have seen on the rear of all 1973-79 F-350 SCS's. These wheels have Ford scripts stamped in them, so I know they are Ford, and they look like all of the 1966 and earlier F-2/F-250 wheels, but they are 16.5" x 9.75". What do I have?

1967/68 innies: TYPE 2 same as outies, but smaller in diameter.
