I'm needing to cure the surging issues I have on my 2000 down in my sig. I never had surge untuned. Once I acquired tunes I developed surge. I also figured I would rebuild the turbo along with a 360* thrust bearing upgrade while I am in there. The riffraff wheel is a 4x4 design while the kc is a 6x6. I'm not really sure what that means? Does one cure surge better than the other? I don't need the loudest sounding turbo on the block I just need a non surging turbo. It's embarrassing to have the turbo struggle while pulling a very lightweight aluminum trailer.
I had great success with the Riffraff 4/4 billet wheel when I was running my modified stock Garrett turbo. I would ask you what intake you have if it is 6637, stock, AIS, S&B, etc....
I have been running the riffraff wheel with the 6637 intake for 5 years, it fixed my surge and pulls great. I have heard good things about KC products as well, I just ordered a turbo from them. I would get whatever one is cheaper.
