Gauges...issues. **FIXED**

So I finally installed a set of gauges. Egt, fuel pressure & boost. Install was very easy except getting all the wiring into the pillar ....

First issue is fuel pressure...I have 6 PSI
no more no less...truck off/on idle wot 6 psi.
if I unplug the sender it goes to 100 psi...maybe it’s grounded somewhere ?

Second less important ....
Boost Gauge is behind the edge monitor buy about 2 psi...example edge digital says 8 psi
gauge says 6 psi..... it is drilled and tapped directly into spider on charge air side..... I assume edge gets its reading from map sensor . Anyway to tweak the gauge to make it keep up with monitor ?

Good news egt gauge works as it should lol.
thanks Guys

What brand gauges? Mechanical or electric sensors?

Fuel pressure is best plumbed into post filter side, left port on back of bowl as seen from front. 6 psi would not run.

Pic of the boost sensor location will help. Edge does get psi from MAP sensor.

Did you wire them into the fuse panel per the instructions? I have had one set on my boss's truck that were erratic because one fuse port was loose. I changed to a different one that was recommended and the problem went away.

Not the highest quality gauges...

I wouldn’t worry about boost discrepancy. Probably just the difference in the sensors.

I dont think 6psi is accurate fuel pressure. You’d know if it was that low.

Its hard for me to tell what port you are using on fuel filter housing, but the best place is directly behind the (2) lines that feed the heads. This is ‘post filter’ and the pressure the injectors see. This is the best pic I have.

You can plumb any cheap pressure gauge into that port or even the water drain valve outlet to verify pressure. With enough hose, you can even tape the gauge to the outside of windshield and see pressure while driving.

I will move the sender, I have it on the “Pre filter” side so I will swap it to the other side.
I know they are not the highest of quality but a guy bought them for his truck and sold the truck before he installed them so I got the whole package for 200$ shipped to my door.
thank you for the reply
will report back

Good on ya...those expandables are a great addition. Hmmmm, I wonder if you got a bad sensor out of the box. I never have and I have installed a few of these GS gauges. I love them, some don't. I would double check your ground and power. I wish I could be of more help.

Ok so I plugged in my hydraulic pressure gauge on the prefilter side where I had the sender at and it’s definitely a sender or wiring issue....time to dig into it a little deeper at least I know I don’t have a supply problem 😁
here is my pressure at idle

Update....I got it fixed
reads a little lower than my Hyd gauge but it’s working and it’s above 50psi so I’ll take it
No one will ever guess what was wrong with it.
almost tempted to offer a pay out of anyone guesses hahhaha

negative....so
on my harness the black wire on gauge side was in the middle....i had 12v on ground at sensor...
I googled other harnesses and the black wire is always to the outside.
So the harness was pinned wrong from factory.
I had to swap the white wire and black wire at the sensor to make gauge side pin out correct
below is my gauge and a pic of one from the website
notice wire colors of black and white locations

myst have been built on a Friday afternoon lol

Notice Black to outside ( stock picture from amazon)

Notice black wire in middle ( my harness)
