Cab Angle for Bump Side vs Dent Side vs 1980
I'm trying find a camper shell for my 1967 Ford F250 that will fit the bed and align nicely with the back window.
It seems 1973 to 1979 has a more angled cab than the 1967 to 1972. Then it changes again from 1980 to 1997 to less of an angle. So does the 1980 to 1997 angle match the 1967 to 1972 cabs?
Here are photos of different angles.
My Dad installed the shell for a 75 Chevy longbed on his 69. As, the Chevies still had the vertical rear panel on the cab. Only problem was teh Chevy cab was an inch shorter, Dad overcame that by making a 1X3 wood spacer to raise the shell so it matched the roof line.
I have the truck now, and intend to install 1X3 metal tubing to replace the wood spacer. this will allow me to hav a mount point for a lumber/cargo rack system.
A guy on the minitruck forum I frequent posted these photos of a self built shell he made for his minitruck.
I’m thinking off doing something similar as a “foamy” for my mini. there are some pretty good youtube videos on how to build them.
I found two places that custom make brand new campers...

They both said they can match the cab angle on a 1967 F250.
