46 M&H on Epay...
Nice truck, someone should tell him even though the paperwork shows a 41 it is a later truck.

Could be a '42. In many places the year on the paperwork is the year it's first sold, not the model year. So could be a '42, first sold in '41, hence the 1941 on the paperwork. The hood does not have the Ford script stamped in the hood sides, '42 had a chrome emblem.
I sent a message through ebay to let him know.
Message reads: Hi, just a FYI, your truck isn't a '41. It's most likely a '46 or '47 judging from the front sheet metal. It could also be a '42 - '45 (not very likely, due to war time unavailability). Just thought you should know there is a difference. Do a web search for the '41 Ford truck and you'll be able to see the difference.
Good luck!

Very nice truck! It also has stainless exterior door handles, head light doors and parking light trim rings. Wasn't the stainless trim common on the '42 trucks along with the absence of the Ford script stamped into the hood sides? As Gary said, if it is an early '42 truck, it could have been titled as a '41.

1941 Ford Marmon Herrington - Thornton Drive - 6x6 - AWD
This is an incredibly rare and special truck that has stood the test of time. This true 6x6 truck was originally a tanker fire truck that was in service until the 1980's. The Rockport, Manitoba, Canada Fire Department maintained this truck very well. Included in the sale of this truck is all the maintenance records and lots of new spare parts, including some brake parts. The flathead V8 runs very nice and has been recently serviced. As amazing as it is, it still needs a little bit of work. There is minor rust on the cab corner, minor pin holes on the drivers floor, and it could use some work on the brakes. Very few pre-war trucks with this configuration were ever produced and this is one of the rare few known to exist to this day.
