Stolen Truck

Hey all... my buddy had his 2001 F250 crewcab 4x4 stolen from his driveway in Grapevine TX at 6am this morning. Last spotted in Dallas by police about an hour later, but they lost it.

Just throwing this this out here in case anyone happens to see it. Nice truck, has the 7.3 diesel. My buddy is so pissed, has had this truck forever and never planned to let it go.

My red 1999 F-250 was stolen today from my apartment complex in Las Colinas. I am absolutely sick. I was in the process of moving, so half of my clothes and all of my kitchen stuff was in it. I was never going to get rid of it. Police has been no help. idk what else to do.

Oh man! I am sorry to hear that. These trucks are a big target and somewhat easy to steal.

They actually caught the guys guys who took my buddy’s truck. He had been able to describe the second car and they caught up with him headed towards Dallas. Then the next day they caught the truck as he had blown the transmission and was limping it along the road. Still waiting on word form insurance on what all is wrong and if it’s fixable.

Sad to say, the cops said they rarely catch anyone or recover the vehicles. The Grapevine police were really good about keeping him updated and following up. Thankful for that.

Let me know if I can do anything for you man. It really sucks.

That sucks! Those 7.3 Diesels were bullet proof and hard to find! Any update?

Insurance company totaled my buddy’s truck. It had the crap beat out of it for 24 hours, looks like they used it to haul a load of engines and other junk from all the sand and oil in the bed. Sides of the truck were all scraped up too, and of course locks and column busted up from hot wiring. He was able to get a decent check from insurance since he had receipts from the add ons and engine rebuild 2 years ago.
