fuel octane level
Hello all. I live in El paso TX. fuel octane as most know is 86 88 91. I have a 2018 F150 XLT. I used to have a 2004 F150 XLT. I was always putting the 88 octane in the 2004. Father in law has that one now with 198000 miles on it when I gave it to him. my current one has the 3.3 v6 flex fuel engine in it. Normally i used to put 87 in my old one til I moved here to El Paso. question is, would putting 86 octane in it harm it? i been putting 88 in it as I am hesitant about going lower than 87 but it can be quite expensive after a while.
