1992 F 600 ford 7.0L EFI truck

I hope some one can help me, I am an amateur when it comes to big trucks.
Our company is for no clear reason rebuilding an F600 from the ground up. I am having trouble with the front grease seals, the old ones Ford # C9HA-1190-A are nothing like the new ones that NAPA sells.
called Ford and they are no help.
The diffidence is the seals is they are the same size I.D and O.D but the old one is .590 tall and the new ones are .812.
I assume the seal stops flush with the hub although the bore it is in is about .300 deeper, If I drive the seal all the way to the bottom it only sticks out about .075 from what the other one did.
I don't know if I should do that or what I should do.
Can some one help me
thanks

Called Ford and they are no help. The ID number has to be crossed over to the Ford part number. Most parts guys in today's world don't want to bother w/a truck this old.

The difference is the seals is they are the same size I.D and O.D but the old one is .590 tall and the new ones are .812.

ID number: C9HA-1190-A = Ford part number: C9HZ-1190-A = 4 3/16" O.D. x 2 15/16" I.D. x 9/16" thickness.

Call Green Sales Co. in Cincinnati OH and ask for the specs, they have 236 of these puppies. 800-543-4959.

Green is an obsolete parts dealer, not a Ford dealer, but their employees are former Ford parts guys.

After I told my boss about the seal he was afraid the rubber had gotten old if the seals if they had sat in a warehouse for years so i went with plan B.
I have about 1/8" clearance and they worked.
I saved the contact info you sent and I am sure I will need something they sell soon
Thanks for your help
