C750 Brake Issue (SLAMS ON)

HI Guys (hope all is well as summer is ending)

Haven't been driving the 67 C750 FireTruck too much as I have been CUTTING APART !! After rebuilding the master and bleeding seemed to be fine for a while ................

Now it seems like THE REAR BRAKES SLAM ON SUDDENLY ! I did read a tread about the booster on the frame (no air brakes) but would like to hear from members BEFORE I tear into it/bleed also!? It does seem like it is the RIGHT REAR that is gripping with force truck jerks on application.

I haven't had the wheels off to check linings, adjustments or condition of shoes YET (probably won't til next year) BUT IF YOU point me may try before the snow hits here in MI

THanks
Mark

Most common reason for grabby brakes is needing adjustment. When they are loosely setup they tend to grab and rotate to a locked up brakes action.

A leaking wheel cylinder will do this also. The brake fluid swells the linings. Look on the inside of your rear tires for signs of a leak.

Perfect replies thought of both but hadn't pull a wheel yet! I will thank you- rather start there than assume other issues
