Hi from N. California

A big hello from the North-eastern corner of California.
I am a complete newbie when it comes to Ford trucks, but not other brands. I just acquired my first Ford truck ever, and I like it. It's a 97 F-350 4x4 crew cab, 460 with 5 speed trans and power everything else.
I mention all this because I have a lot of questions to ask. Questions such as what radiator fluid do I use and what oil filter etc.and eventually more complex technical mechanical questions and I want to know which section I should be posting these questions. Although not well maintained by the previous owner, with a little tlc I expect this truck to last me a good number of years. Unfortunately there is not a Ford dealership within 60 miles of me. My only source of parts and information is one Napa store and the internet - both of which can be not too reliable at times. So I joined this forum.
Thank you everyone for your help and direction in my new Ford truck adventure.
Steve

I'd bet you'll want to post in the "1987 - 1996 F150 & Larger F-Series Trucks", "Big Block V8 - 385 Series (6.1/370, 7.0/429, 7.5/460)", and "
Clutch, Transmission, Differential, Axle & Transfer Case" forums to start. After some back and forth you'll get a feel for it.

Thank you, Sir.
I assume there's no difference between my '97 F-350 and the ". . .1996 F150 & Larger F-Series Trucks", "Big Block V8. . ." in terms of where to post my questions?
Just wondering why they cut off the category title at 1996?
Thanks.
