Hello all!
I just got a 6.7 and Im looking for a tuner that will give some more horsepower without messing with delete or egr. I dont tow a lot, but just want something to boost hp. You boys have any good tuners that work with all the Obama ****?
Like Troy posted up, I'd give that Derringer tuner from Banks Power a serious look. He's a GM guy at heart and builds hi po Duramaxes for the boat racing industry and the military from what I've read. The reviews I've seen from the Duramax guys on the Derringer are very good. He came out with one for the 6.7 Cummins also. The 17 to 19s Ford 6.7 tuner came out not that long ago.
Just remember to tell the dealer you have a tune because there may be a update to the stock tune and if they update your truck than your tune will be destroyed. The tuner if you don't know has a new tune and it downloads the stock tune and stores it then it uploads the new tune BUT it doesn't store both. If the dealer does a update well then there is a problem. Since you are nit deleted than the truck will still run and if you want the new tune back you can download it from the vendor. They may or not charge you.
Nice looking truck for sure
sharp looking truck for sure, the Banks Derringer is probably the best bang for the buck and still maintain warranty coverage. Easily removed and no footprint left in the ECM. Could possibly void your warranty if you use a handheld OBD style tuner.
This has been discussed here before but apparently if the engine makes more power than stock, there's a hidden red flag that is thrown in the ECM that we can't see but if you ever have a engine or transmission issue, this could be a problem if you used an emissions on tuner. The user name of Mark with the last name that starts with K was a Ford transmission Engineer who said this.
But I guess the way I look at it is that as long as you are maintaining the truck with oil changes and such, as long as you are not beating on the truck, using the power responsibly will probably not yield any problems. Like guys who delete with 0 hp tunes or a low hp tune. With great power comes great responsibility.

I have heard that, but I’ve also heard it isn’t all that precise of a system, I don’t know. I’ve never experienced a failure when I actually could go into the dealer and get service done. Most issues have been out of warranty due to heavy modifications, or rebuilt titles.
Kinda of funny. Banks told to a couple of days ago it would be next year. Now they say:
Derringer for 2011-16 Ford 6.7L Super Duty
The Derringer for the 2017-19 6.7L Power Stroke was released recently and the response has been incredible (join the Derringer Ford 6.7L Owners Facebook Group for real-world reviews). But R&D on the 6.7L isn’t done yet! Testing is currently underway on a Derringer for the 2011-16 Power Stroke.
Since the Derringer is the only tuner on the market that connects to the truck’s OBD-II diagnostic port, the Electrical Engineering team (“EE” as we call them), are mining this data stream for all useful signals needed to get the most power and torque possible, while doing it safely. Like its sibling for the ‘17-19 6.7L, the Derringer for the ’11-16 will offer impressive horsepower and torque gains. It will also feature Banks-exclusives like AutoRate® dynamic tuning, TransCommand® transmission safety system, and ActiveSafety®, which seamlessly reverts your truck to back to stock power should a fault occur. No other tuner on the market has these performance and safety features! According to the “EE” team, they’re aiming to have the new Derringer available before the end of July. Stay tuned!
