Superduty purchase

I've been eyeing a 19 CC Lariat 6.7l for a few weeks now, it's been on a lot since sometime in January I believe. The dealer has it advertised with a higher dealer discount than most on their lot ($2k under invoice), I guess to try and move it. I've tried getting even more down but they arent willing to move much more than a few hundred. With rebates and PCO it works out to a decent total discount.

My thoughts are that advertised pricing always leaves room for negotiating. That doesn't seem to be true in this case. I'm thinking they are holding firm because of my PCO (they saw it in their system), but maybe they really dont have much more wiggle and I should be content with the deal. What do you savy shoppers think?

MSRP is over $70k and dealer discount is $6k and not willing to go much more. I should also mention that there are no big dealer fees that get added on, just an $85 doc fee.

I tried responding to you, but your PM box is full.

From all my research I have done, if you're around 18%-20% off MSPR prior to TTL then that's a great deal, regardless of invoice or dealer hold back or all that other nonsense.

Sorry, just made some space in my inbox.

Do some get that 18-20% off without a PCO? I wouldn't even be close to 18% without one.

In never never land maybe. If you hold out for that you’ll be waiting on a 2 year left over or a miracle.

Ya I wasn't even lose even with a PCO. My sticker was 61000, 750 under invoice made it 57800. Pco of 3000, 1000 from ford and 500 from ford made it 53300. Thats 12%... I highly doubt I could get a 61k truck for 48K with 20% off...

No mater what someone will say they get a better deal than you, even if they have to stretch the truth a little.
Make the deal tat you are happy with, you are the one driving it and paying for it, your the only one that matters.
I have been buying rigs for 40 + years and I believe it is much harder to get dealers to move on price now. They know what they will get for the vehicles, they don't NEED to make any more discount than that think is necessary. If YOU don't buy, someone else will
I use to get followed to my car if I left the dealer without a purchase, now I never even get a return call after a few days.
I used X plan to get my 2018 F450, that was the best I could get.
The dealer KNEW that there where only a few F450s in the area and didn't move an inch from X plan (with rebates).
I actually walked out on the deal, and they never called me back, after a week I ended up selling my old truck so I HAD to get a new one.

I was almost exactly at 18%.

MSRP was $73,820, $60,500 before TTL (18%). So about $65,000 out the door for a special order 19' Lariat. Tax, title ($900), $300 dealer fee

I can take a picture of my invoice if it makes people warm inside but that's the deal I got. I have given the name and dealer info to many people since who have gotten similar deals including a buddy of mine who is waiting for his 19' Lariat to be delivered.

Without a PCO? You should be buying lottery tickets.

That wasn’t meant to be negative, just that would have been an insane deal. Even so 18% is pretty impressive. A couple different threads on this recently people doing really well were seeing ~14%.
