PCO may not always be as good as they seem on the surface. The dealers do see these in their system and may not be willing to discount prices as much. Even though it is supposedly funded by Ford the dealer may even have to share in funding the PCO but not sure on this. I got a quote once for a Carrier Heat Pump and right after I got my quote Carrier came out with a discount offer. The dealer begrudgingly gave me the discount but grumbled that they have to share in the funding for them.
I ordered a truck in January after negotiating a deal and got a PCO in February. When I took it to the dealer when picking up my truck they claimed it was included in the original deal. I knew this was not possible and told the sales manager he was being dishonest. He wouldn't budge and I took the trunk anyway since the PCO would have expired by the time I re-ordered from a different dealer who would have known about the PCO anyway.
I gave them a scathing review when surveyed by Ford and wrote another scathing review with the BBB who sends these reviews to the business. The dealer's general manager called me and sent me a check for $2500.
Love that! Pay back is a ***ch.
Some dealerships just cannot be trusted. At least somebody (FORD or probably the owner reamed this manager a new one) stepped up and corrected the situation. These PCO's are intended to be "icing on the cake" after your best deal is made, at least that's my understanding from what I've read when I have received the offer in the past
Throwing this out one last time, what should an f250 cc sb come with? I've seen manuals, Jack and Jack tools I think. Anything else I should see?
That's about it. The 18s came with a hitch reducer 2.5 to 2" . You might get some cheesy mats, but will have to buy some decent floor liners. I bought the Ford OEM liners but many say Husky are better.

Well, I pulled the trigger, finally in a Superduty. By the time I got home, approximately 300 mi., the dash said av.15.7 mpg. Drives nice, I little wander but it was also windy. I'm now wishing I would have test drove a few other 6.7s, just to have something to compare sound and feel to.
I watched a you tube on using the tow camera package, in the video he shows a trailer icon that I haven't seen on mine. It turns on the mirror cams, side of truck view. Any trick to enabling that?

Nice! Enjoy your new truck! Pictures are now required.
As for the trailer icon, do you have to have a trailer plugged in? My truck doesn't have the ultimate tow package but I sure wish it did.
Thanks, I'll get a picture sometime soon. The ultimate tow camera option was a must for me coming from a compact truck to such a large truck.
The videos I've watched showing the different camera views, have not been with a trailer connected. The screen shot bellow shows the icon I'm missing circled in red. When selected it uses the mirror cameras to show down the side of the truck and/or trailer if one is connected.

Your truck’s Broke!!! Or you need to put it in reverse...
In park or drive In reverse In reverse with trailer icon selected
I only get that icon (circled in red above) when I have a trailer connected. It won't display the trailer icon otherwise. With no trailer connected, I'll only see the other icons and the trailer icon will be absent. Yours may be similar.
You only get the super-cool camera views after you have added the trailer, set up all the dimensions, and put on the sticker ... and if you don't know what I'm talking about, then you need to read your manual. Note that Section179's last picture has a caption that states "Select or Add Trailer in Information Display." It means that he hasn't set up his trailer (or didn't select it). So, though he still gets a good camera view, he's missing some of the key features of the Ultimate Trailer Tow camera ... the bit where it shows the relative angles of your truck, trailer, and where you're aiming it.
Yep, pretty exciting and something I've been wanting for quite awhile. Next I need to figure out what floor liners to get, schedule LineX and talk with a detailer about keeping it looking good, and look into folding bed covers.
A couple things I've noticed, in comparison to my friends 2015 Ram 2500, the fit/finish of the 4 doors appear to be perfect on his, not so much on this F250. Also, shortly before buying this, just out of curiosity, I decided to look at Rams specs for a comparable 2018 2500, they beat the towing capacity of the f250 by over 2k lbs. I was a little surprised actually.

OMG ThumbsUp, I love it. Have to play the game with these RB's. They do it every day and are good at it. Me, I love the negotiating process. I do the research and always, so far after more than 45 years of buying cars and trucks, know far more about the vehicle than the person I am buying from, new or used over the years. I love, love , love that after all that the GM called you and wrote you a check for the $2,500. Had to KILL him to do it but it was the RIGHT thing to do.
Must have been REAL NICE cashing/depositing that check as well! BRAVO!

Yes, twice while "talking" to the sales manager he had the ***** to ask me for a good review. Said it meant a lot to the sales person who was a good guy. I just couldn't give the dealership a good review. When the General Manager called after getting the review from Ford he mentioned they were going for some presidents award and wanted to "make it right". He said I would get a follow up from Ford with a chance to change my rating but didn't make this a condition for the $2500. I did change my rating since he did apologize and made it right.
