No mater what someone will say they get a better deal than you, even if they have to stretch the truth a little. Make the deal tat you are happy with, you are the one driving it and paying for it, your the only one that matters.
On this forum there never seems to be a "bottom" on pricing. If it's the truck you want and are satisfied with the pricing, then buy it and don't look back. If you think there are "better" deals, take your PCO and walk, and keep shopping. You'll find out soon enough.
It's not necessarily exactly the truck I want, that has been impossible to find on a lot. It is close and I haven't found many others to chose from, infact only one other comes to mind at the moment. When I compare to ordering, based on the qoutes I was given, I couldn't get the truck I want for the same overall discount. I would end up paying almost the same otd, slightly more actually compared to this one, but get less in the way of options on the order. Hopefully that makes sense.
I just have this feeling like the dealer would budge if they didnt know I have a PCO, but I honestly doubt more than maybe another $500. So I shouldn't feel too butthurt and just do it hahaha.

Sounds like you already have the answer...........Good luck with your new truck.
Forcal, my deal ended up almost $2000,00 under invoice. The only incentive I have beyond that is the $1500 with Ford financing. The Koons truck I was looking at, that we spoke about on another thread...had a sticker of roughly $60,000.00. They were advertising it at $50,000.00. It was very similar to my order truck but had a few additional options. And no 4.30 gears. If I was buying a diesel I wouldnt even worry about the gears. Ohh I almost forgot.
The Koons truck was black. And much as I love a black vehicle Im just no longer that motivated to keep one meticulously clean. Their deal was too close to my order deal locally.
I had been getting frustrated trying to work a deal. But if your not finding a truck at a price your willing to pay, and the trucks arent exactly what you want. My conclusion was to suck it up, take the best deal I could work. And order the truck. At least that way your not paying for anything you dont want.
In the end Im still hoping for a PCO but Im not holding my breath. I have an appointment to show my GMC tomorrow so maybe I can sell it for 2 or 2500 dollars more than the trade value. After that Im just hoping I didnt make a mistake with any of my optional choices. Like the 4.30s, I really want the leather seats with heat and cool but Ive read some people having issues with the leather, or the heat is too hot? But Im less than 2 weeks out and pretty excited to get behind the wheel.
If your interested enough in one off the lot... at least you get to test drive it. I drove a couple of trucks but not one with 20s. Im also hoping the 20s dont change the ride enough to **** me off.
Like the last poster said... good luck with your new truck!!
Does the $6000 dealer discount include rebates (Ford Financing, retail cash, 1st responder, etc)? I just factory ordered a truck from Koons Ford in Baltimore. Numbers below for some comparison
MSRP: $70045
WOW Price $59055 (includes $1000 Ford Financing and $1000 Ford Retail Cash)
Freight Fee $1595 (they said they dont advertise the freight fee in their WOW price)
Doc Fee $300
Total BEFORE tax and title $60,954
No trade in
Few points:
1. This price DOES NOT include the $3000 PCO, but my sales said he could lock it into the order even if vehicle arrived after 7/1 expiration date.
2. The build sheet lists the vehicle as having 50 states emissions compliant (believe you said in another thread you're from Cali.)
3. When contacting any dealer, if you disclose your phone #, full name, address or any of that info; they will use that to check their systems to see if you have a PCO in your name. When I sent my build sheet, I created a new email, only gave first name, zipcode (so they know how much tax and title to factor in), whether I was financing, and that I didn't have a trade in.
4. Try to not disclose anything about trade in because dealers will use that against you. In fact, disclose as least amount of info as possible (financing, monthly payment, trade in, etc).
PM me if you want more info about anything. Good luck in your search and just know somebody will give you a great deal.

Freight is included in MSRP. Dealers like to list the MSRP and their discount and then throw a second freight fee back in which in effect reduces the discount. I told the sales manager that this was deceptive and dishonest and he at least cut it in half.
The discount you negotiate will be relative to the price of the vehicle.
Higher trim levels have greater markup than lower trims. If you go into a deal looking eager and excited for a particular truck it's likely the salesman will sit on the price and wait you out.
In the end it's just a numbers game of monthly quotas so know the numbers and be willing to walk. Don't dance around and chat it up, play it cool like a good game of poker. 🤨. Oh, and it is better at the end of the month- they are more willing to work a deal to make a needed sale. If possible I would keep the PCO to myself and use it like a wild card after you have negotiated your best deal.
Good luck
I bought a 2018 last June. It had been on the lot for about 100 days. I got about 15% off sticker on a 63K truck. No crazy doc fees but I felt like my trade in was low. I think my trade in was about 2-4 thousand under value. Ford credit was offering $500 cash back and was at 7.9%. I financed 38K through Chase for 3.5%.
One thing I didnt mention. The Koons truck on the lot had a 60,000.00 MSRP. The WOW price was roughly 50,000.00. Now its into the 49s. But when I speced out my order with them I had an MSRP of 57,000.00 and they gave me a wow price of 52,000.00... So in the end I ordered with my local dealer as at that point both deals were close enough that it wasnt worth travelling for delivery. And the out of state registration and tax transaction had a several hundred dollar premium Im sure due to them using a service to handle the out of state paperwork. I think realistically I could have purchased my truck maybe 1000.00 cheaper if I kept dealing a few more rounds. I have to say the process is not fun. I tried everyone's advice to acquire a PCO. Made an appointment to test drive. I requested a brochure twice with the advertising people at the 800 number. Never even got a brochure. If I wasnt set on an F 250 I would have walked to the GMC dealer and started over there. My local dealer is great. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Not in a smarmy sales oriented way but genuinely. I get the truck I want... someone makes a payday. I get treated special....HAHAHA.... Im not mad at them but I am mad at Ford. Keep the damn PCOs and drop the MSRP 1 or 2 thousand bucks.....

The first time I went to this dealer was at the end of the month (4/28), I went in with a qoute that I had recieved through the internet department 1 month earlier, it was $1k lower than their advertised price. After a bunch of time wasting sales tactics and everyone getting frustrated, they would not honor the qoute I had and would not move from their advertised price at all. During this process they discovered my PCO in the system. Anyway, they let me walk over $1k.
That kind of b.s. from a dealership over 1k never ceases to amaze me. I'd walk on them too and never look back. Sometimes if you negotiate the difference in accessories (say a bed liner etc.) They'll be willing to do that and sell for agreed price. Sometimes not. Plenty of trucks to choose from and somebody else will be willing to make a deal.
When they run your name and address they know about any PCOs you have. I tried to negotiate first without mentioning my PCO, hell the salesman not only knew about the PCO he sent me a picture of it on my phone lol. But 3k off really sweetens the deal especially percentage wise on a lower priced trim STX truck.
PCO may not always be as good as they seem on the surface. The dealers do see these in their system and may not be willing to discount prices as much. Even though it is supposedly funded by Ford the dealer may even have to share in funding the PCO but not sure on this. I got a quote once for a Carrier Heat Pump and right after I got my quote Carrier came out with a discount offer. The dealer begrudgingly gave me the discount but grumbled that they have to share in the funding for them.
I ordered a truck in January after negotiating a deal and got a PCO in February. When I took it to the dealer when picking up my truck they claimed it was included in the original deal. I knew this was not possible and told the sales manager he was being dishonest. He wouldn't budge and I took the trunk anyway since the PCO would have expired by the time I re-ordered from a different dealer who would have known about the PCO anyway.
I gave them a scathing review when surveyed by Ford and wrote another scathing review with the BBB who sends these reviews to the business. The dealer's general manager called me and sent me a check for $2500.
