Bed Interchangeability
Will an F100 bed from a '56 fit a '53? Did all of the 53-56 F100's use the same bed? Is there some internet site or other source to determine what parts are the same on this series of truck?

53-72 beds are similar but there are differences between them on how high the fenders mount.
MOST 53-55 body parts interchange. 56 stuff too except for the cab, doors, interior etc. Stay away from car power trains as they mount entirely different. If you keep your front and rear motor mounts you can use car 272/292/312 engines but the transmissions are longer.
