I've got a 76 4x4 F100 regular cab with the NP435 and divorced transfer case, and need to replace the U-joints on the drive shafts. (So I need a whole pile of u-joints.) I'm getting overwhelmed with options for and am hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.
Do you have a source for that? Because staring under my truck, it's a bit tough to miss the stubby little driveshaft connecting the transmission to the transfer case...

Pic: Where is this stubby little driveshaft? No see um.
Any chance yours could be a re-bodied F250 then hanso? Be easy to tell that though, what with lots of height and leaf springs all the way around.
I thought I'd seen divorced F100's too, but I really wasn't paying that much attention back then either. Had a friend with a nice burgundy colored 100 with 435 and a Dana 21. Was underneath it a total of one time in about '75 so my memory is very dull on that, but pretty sure it was married.
I guess a for-sure tell would be the suspension though. Be great to see pics of underneath and the door decal (if applicable) and the warranty plate to get more info.
Find the VIN stamped on the frame and see what that decodes too. Also see what the door vin on the warranty tag says. Do they match? Also what's the VIN on your title say? Legally it should be the frame not the door. I'd want to make sure that was taken care of.
