1962 F100 with straight 6 engine block serial number is C1AE - 6015 - K. Is this a 223? Might it be the correct block for its year?

That's not a serial number, that's an engineering ID number cast into the block. All 223s from that era would have the same exact casting number. Google that number without spaces and you will get some hits.
