I picked up a couple of ‘mystery’ carburetors this past weekend that supposedly came off older Fords.
Neither of them had the tags, of course, but I think I’ve managed to identify them off the stamps on front driver’s side ear.
Can anyone confirm if I’m right?
The first one reads 5PSA. I believe this might be D5PE-SA, which would make it a (Autolite or Motorcraft?) 2100 from a 73-74 Ford Truck. D5PE-SA?
The second one reads 0 (zero) U B, although there is a 6 towards the front of the ear, but it’s in a different font, and deeper. I believe this to be E0UE-ABA, which would make it a Motorcraft 2150 from a 1980 truck with a 302.
E0UE-ABA?
I realized I didn't take any good pics of the actual carbs, but they seem to be either 2100 or 2150.
Ha! That's where I (finally) found what I think are the closest number to match up what's stamped on the ears.
I've been on that site (and a few others) all day.
I think the 2150 came later in the 60s or 70s, he points out the design changes in the video. Altitude compensator and other gee-gaws for emission controls.
If you look at the base of the carb, on the 2150 the back is straight across, the 2100 is curved or arched.
