Universal 12 Circuit harness... stock light switch?
So am i over think this (too!) ? Looking over the wiring schematics, everthing flows through our stock light switch... the new fuse block (12 circuits with relay and flasher installed) has many if not all fused circuits for each of these functions (dome/courtesy, blinkers, brake switch, etc)... what did any of y’all do... or do i have to dump the oringal switch (just bot a new replacement) or can it be used effectively ?
i’m probably over thinking ..

I used a headlight switch from an early ‘70s F-series. Pretty much the same switch up into the ‘90s. Note that they still have internal circuit breakers (C/B) as shown in the wiring diagram below from 1972. In my case research indicated the headlight circuit trips at 12 amps and the auxiliary light circuit trips at 15 amps, but I still used relays with a separate circuit breaker under the hood for the headlights.

So I found this switch on ebay... is this like what you used and will the original shaft/**** from the '57 work in this?

No, I used the shaft/**** for the ‘70s and pulled the plastic **** off and put on a new **** for our years. The ‘70s light switches use a triangular shaft and if I remember correctly our years use a D-shaped shaft.
