Brake Light switch

Brake Light switch
So it came time to do brakes on my f100. My soft line coming off of my brake master cylinder had rotted off and my brakes weren’t exactly new prior to that so I figured I’d freshen up the whole system. Got everything put back together. Bled 3 of the 4 corners on the truck. Just finished tightening the last wheel cylinder valve and BAM! I lose my pedal. I open the hood to investigate and see that I blew the guts out of my brake light switch where the tin folds around the plastic face that isolates the terminals. I figure the switch I bought was a Chinese pos so I find a new old stock switch in some of my dads junk and try it out. Same thing happend while driving down the road.
This is just under normal braking. I’m not making any emergency stops or anything fancy.
Was wondering if any of you fellas had the same experience and if so, what was your fix? I’d like to find a switch that works for convenience and to keep the original look but if all else fails, I may just install a mechanical switch at the pedal.
