2000 V6 starting issue and cutting out during acceleration

Just bought it and it ran good when I test drove it. Started cutting out when accelerating and hard to get it started when first starting, starts good when warm. New fuel pump and filter installed by the guy I bought it from. Any suggestions on where to start?

Does it have the check engine light on?
If so code scan it and go from there.

Look and see if it has a Fuel Pump Driver Module on the frame cross member behind the gas tank. See if the aluminum base looks corroded which usually will indicate failure.
