low fuel system pressure/injector control pressure too low issue

I would start with checking to make sure the frame fuel filter canister is properly tightened. You may have an air leak and sucking air into the fuel system. Did yo uput clean fresh oil on the o-ring prior to screwing on the canister? Are you sure you tightened the canister to the stops touched?
P0305 – Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected - not low fuel pressure related - might be an injector going bad???
P2291 - Injector Control Pressure Too Low - Engine Cranking
P0087 - Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low
Do you have any metal bits in the pleats of either the DFCM or engine mounted fuel filters you removed?
I'm thinking possible HPFP issues which can and will eventually cause injector issues. As suggested start with the simple things confirming the low pressure side (from DFCM) is correct and work your way forward. The high pressure side is (well) high pressure so if you aren't familiar with that system, you need to tow it to a diesel shop where they do work on these engines. If you can't rule out the HPFP, I wouldn't drive it. For example, if it is the HPFP and it hasn't come apart yet, you don't want to drive it and allow it to get to that point where it'll send metal shavings throughout the fuel system.
