Since buying my 2011 F250 SB I've learned from this forum that there were 3 common issues that the 6.7L has. over the last two years, all three of those have now happened.
1. Two years ago my stock radiator started leaking so I replaced with a Mishimoto. $700 and 4 hours later it was fixed.
2. A couple of months ago the turbo water tube quick fitting started to leak. That was only $25 and about an hour.
3. On Friday the CAC cold side cracked. Luckily it was a mild crack and easy to find. The timing was the worst because I just closed escrow on the house I sold and had to be moved out two days later. Luckily Amazon Prime had the Mishimoto for delivery on Sunday. I did not want to replace with the stock but could have if I was desperate. I should have ordered the one from Rudy's at half the price a long time ago but that's the luck I get. So $285 and about 30 mins and I was back on the road.
Lucky I read this forum so when something minor does happen I already have a solution. 150,000 miles and still looking good.
Of these, I've had the coolant line issue (while towing the tractor in August heat a few years ago) and replaced the CAC duct due to cracks and down on boost. Thankfully no issues with the radiator but had to replace the upper radiator hose in February.
I guess I should be watching for the coolant tube issue. My CAC tube cracked 3 days before a 800 mile trip towing our International Scout II. I kicked myself for not ordering the Rudy's CAC tube sooner at a much cheaper price. Instead I dropped more money on the MIshimoto on Amazon. But with the help of this forum, I knew exactly where to look to find the issue.
I too am thankful for a place like this where I can gain knowledge quickly through the experience of others.

It's almost like it is a conspiracy! Our trucks know when we are about to embark on a long trip towing and the CAC tubes crack. I leave tomorrow morning for 1,000 mile trip so I'm hoping all goes well.
Funny thing was, 5 years ago on the same trip I'm doing tomorrow; The turbo on my 2005 F250 with the 6.0L popped a pipe clamp between Las Vegas, NV and St. George, UT. Luckily I was only about 30 miles from a Ford dealer and they had the replacement clamp. It was an inconvenience given that is was 118 degrees out and I had 5 passengers (my 6 month old and 2 year old included). We limped into the dealer and were back on the road 15 minuets later.
