IIRc they have a different firing order than the truck cam and you may need to run MASS to even run the cam

Maf conversion

I got a good buy on a 1990 5.0 h o, installed gt40p heads and shorty headers. I installed the motor in my 1993 f150 5.0 non h o. I experienced from this you planned and do maf conversion. SD on my truck did not like the h o cam. Also depends on what transmission you have. It’s easier to do maf conversion with aod or manual trans but e40d or 4r70w trans you are very limited. I got my donor parts from a 1995 f150. I have an e40d trans so I was limited to 1995 f150 since the 1995 has same firing order as 5.0 h o and 351, it was easier. I bought a reman pcm 100 bucks from Napa for e40d.
