New to me 1965 Us Navy F100 DSO 83
I picked up this truck a few weeks ago, it's a Navy used F100. She's not the prettiest girl at the dance but I've been driving her daily and working on her in the evenings, I've had great luck using the search function on this forum to fix the issues I've tackled so far so thanks so all that contribute. I hope the lessons I gather as I keep tinkering away will allow me to give back some in the future.
She was grey, then tan, now blue.
k2evd I've seen pictures of your truck on here its a real Beut! My ultimate goal is to get mine looking like she would have during her service. Right now my goal is to get her driving good enough to be able to take a couple hour trip in her.

What a great Navy truck. I have a friend here in Wisconsin who took his Navy drivers test in one like yours in 1967. He is looking for pictures of his truck in 67. We will post if we get a picture. We are restoring an Ex Air Force F-100 like yours. But will be returning it to 1960's Olive Drab (mil spec 24087). I have a photo of my father driving one in 1968. Sentimental journey I guess. Your Navy Data Plate is very cool. This is what the military marking would look like on each door.
We plan to drive our restored F-100 from coast to coast in August 2019 in a historic vehicle convoy with the Military Vehicle Preservation Association Lincoln Highway 100 year celebration. The longest parade in America.

Great to add you to the list of Military F-100 owners.

Shadyside, I've seen photos of your truck here. It's great. If you'd like to see more pictures of anythings specifically on my truck I'd be happy to take a photo for you. Our gauge clusters look a bit different but I suspect mine is the victim of some butchery.
