1966 F100 Firewall Rectangular Electrical Plug?

1966 F100 Firewall Rectangular Electrical Plug?
I borrowed this photo from another forum. I'm looking for a direct replacement or an aftermarket part that will fit these rectangular holes in my firewall. Is there something out there or do I have to resort to welding them up and making a standard grommet fit? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Is your problem just that the male bullet broke in the female part of the connector? I have had some success with cutting and pushing the remaining portion of the wire forward (towards the engine), feeding a new wire with a male bullet into the square plug and splicing it into the wiring loom. Just rerieve the broken male connector and clean all the sockets real well. You just need to find a male bullet connector of the right size. Another solution is just to drill out the hole in the firewall plug, connect to the female socket, then feed the wire through to the cab and splice.

I have never tried it myself or seen one installed in a truck but they do share the same connectors. If you are trying to restore the under dash harness these people have the correct color wiring, and can build a new harness if you need one. Rhode Island Wiring Service Inc.

Are you looking for the metal connectors or the rubber plugs that encompass them? I'm fairly sure the rubber plugs are molded on after the connectors are attached to the wires. And as a result of that process, I don't believe the rubber plugs are sold separately since they can't be molded to the connectors and wiring after the fact. If Ford simply pushed those wires and metal connectors into the rubber plugs then moisture could get in there even easier and in certain climates it would fail very quickly. Not that they last forever, anyway. I could be wrong, but I sort of doubt you will find them, and if you do - do you really want to use them if they are not water tight? Even washing your truck could cause electrical issues if water gets into the middle of those.

...as Chad mentioned, the rubber plug is molded to the completed wiring. I could tell that when I removed a couple of the connectors to replace them.

Good move updating the wiring harness. I did the same and did an updated pass thru connection that allows you to unplug the wiring to the engine and keep everything water tight with the new connector.

I looked and called around. Chad is correct. The rubber is molded to the wiring. Bummer.
So vze2c2gb, what did you use as a pass through connector? Did you weld up or cover up the two rectangular openings?

we rewired the entire truck using the American Autowire kit worked out pretty well. We did weld up the original holes and cut a new one on the drivers side top of the firewall so it lined up good with the new fuse box.
