Going across Canada

Hey guys I am going across Canada in a 1968 Ford F100 - Looking to see if anyone along the 1 wants to hang out or knows which wrecker might be the best to get some body panels and odds and ends for a 68 bump side. I will be in Saskatchewan in a couple days, Manitoba in maybe 3 days.

David

Hi David, good luck in your travels!
What is your route? I`m near Saskatoon and would like to meet up if you are coming this way.

Hey hey - we are pretty open - we are looking for a shop that can weld in some corners for us - I have pictured the largest of the holes but they are on both front fenders and on the rear corners of the doors. Smaller then this shown tho.

I really would be inclined to replace those fenders with better used ones, even tho that won`t be easy to find, possibly even reproductions ones. Also the tail gate looks too far gone so I would replace it as well. I would strongly suspect that there`s a lot more rust underneath the fenders as well. Quality rust repair is very time consuming so very costly. Unfortunately last yr I sold all of my 67-72 F100 trucks and parts, I`m concentrating on my 53 resto rod.

Hey FoMoKo1 - Thanks for the advice. I would love to replace them but $$ is tight. LMC truck has donated a new tailgate so thats really exciting but the fenders are really hard to find. If you find any please let me know! We are in Calgary now!

Ok, if I hear of any I`ll pass it along to you. Good fenders are really hard to find around here, most are rusted through like your`s.
Good luck in your travels guys.
