Hi, looking at purchasing a 2015 F350 Lariat CCLB with 65k miles for $46,000, but when I pulled the window sticker it has "DAMAGED UNIT" listed on it. Carfax has no mention of it and it looks like it was auctioned off before being sent to a dealer and sold to someone in Canada. The local dealer I'm working with found out that the whole roof and windshield was replaced, but had no other information. What was odd was the clearance/cab lights where all on backwards and the inside sunroof switch housing was bulging out. The dealer has since told me that they fixed the two items and its ready. My question is should I run from this or keep looking?
if damaged before arriving AT dealer.. it can be repaired. and auctioned off...
and proves CarFax is just that.. a good Story... my opinion....
If you like it that much... offer 30k OR WALK... that damage label will follow that truck forever...
and when you go to sell it.. guess what... LITTLE VALUE.
Yup Run away with your wallet as fast as you can. If this unit was damaged and you say the cab clearance lights are on backwards, then whoever did the repairs did a **** poor job and either just slapped it back together or had no clue what they were doing, either way it could mean the repairs were not done right which could be issues that you could spend hundreds or thousands to fix.
Obviously the dealer is selling this as is or they would have fixed it, but they are just selling what they got. Take your money and find a truck that doesnt have the issues this one has that you can see, because I am sure it is going to have issues you cant see if it was this poorly repaired.
There are thousands of Fords out there, do your self and your wallet a favor and find a different truck. For 46k you can find a used truck that doesnt have issues that this one has and god knows what other ones lurk in this one. Look for a better truck
Thanks for the advice! I will pass on it. Can't seem to find one that hasn't been molested or has crazy miles on it. Been looking for a Blue Jean and black interior CC for some time. The wife today said go order a new one and quit looking for a used one, but d*m the payment.

I loved the color of my blue jean super duty so much that I bought another one. I was in the same situation buying this last one. Brand new, I had 3 color options searching every inventory in the state. Black, silver, or white. Otherwise I had to wait for a new one. Found this one in the meantime and just bought it over the phone.
If trucks could talk, that one would say 'I got mashed while on a 2-decker car hauler'. It would have to be salvage priced or less to be worth considering.

I did a nationwide search on autotrader and found 23 of them. The closest to your state were a bit over 400 miles. They're out there, you just gotta want 'em bad enough.
