clearance lights

Shouldn't the option show up on my window sticker if I have them? I was sure to tell the dealer that it was a must have for me but I don't see it on my window sticker. Ford chat said they were unable to pull up the options on my truck.

Then yes if the truck was ordered it should appear on the window sticker as an option. No way to change it now that the truck is being built but you may want to contact your dealer and see what they are willing to do at the dealer level

I think someone on here had the dealer install the clearance lights. I don't remember if they were referencing a prior MY truck or this one.

The truck still hasn't been titled or transferred to you so you don't have to sign that paperwork and can get your money back if it is a deal breaker. I doubt it is for you but you can use it for leverage and maybe get the dealer to install them.

Had a similar situation twice now ordering (my current 2012 SD).

First time around, the Lariat Interior Package was not ordered with the SD truck. Declined to take delivery.

Second time all was ordered...even the Lariat Interior Package. However, the Upfitter switches were left off. Still took delivery.

Yup, I know how you feel.

Well we found the p/n for the lights. $178. Dealer said the are not sure if they want to install them or who will pay for labor and to wait for the truck to come in.

If the dealership screwed up, I would tell them if they want to sell the truck they will cover labor and you would pay what it would have cost from the factory.

Their screw up is their screw up.

Don't accept the truck...I wouldn't. It's a must have on my list. Really all the options I picked are.

OP -- I tend to agree. If the option that you wanted is a REALLY big deal for you, then I would not take delivery. Which is what I did when I ordered back in 2012.

OBTW: Dealer said the F250 as configured would never sell. Just a pressure tactic, because the F250 sold in 3 days off the lot!!

In a way, you need to take some responsibility. When you order a truck, you get a copy of the order and this allows you to confirm options. If the dealer does not give you this, just ask for it.

So yes, you asked, and the dealer screwed up. If they admit they recall you asking for this option, then I'd force the issue and make them install the lights. If they say they don't remember this conversation, you're probably out of luck.
