So I am all approved to go by a new truck. An F350 this time. My 05 5.4 F250 does fine still. But wanting new with a desiel. I like the look of the KR interior better than the Platinum. Dealer had been stringing me along for several days. Truck needed to be had from a different dealer. I went in on Tuesday after work to sign a p.o. for my bank. Said I'll be back on Thursday with a check. Dealer never faxed p.o. No luck on Wednesday with the dealer. Thursday comes. Call my bank. No p.o. bank calls dealer. Gets p.o. show up after work. Get check. Call dealer. I have a check. You have a truck? We are working on it. Later that evening. Call back, well? Didn' happen. Going to get it in first thing in the morning. I said look I'm taking my RV out and want to pull with the new truck. Ok We'll have it for you. We'll bring it to your house. Sweet. I get a call last night after putting off going and getting my RV and all prep work waiting on new truck. We can't sell you that truck. It has a recall on it. What, ok keep it. I'll take the check back to the bank on Monday and go buy from someone who want to sell me 75k truck. This whole ordeal was treated like a 12k fiesta. As it was being missed off and trying to get the RV, I forgot stuff I could have had done. This has been the absolute worst experience with a dealer. I am still going to by a new SD. Just from a different dealer now. Called bank and they said, just brink the check back and you'e re approved for a new one. Still pissed. But now shopping again.
My understanding is that Ford has issued a stop sale on the trucks until they can correct this seatbelt issue. It only applies to trucks equipped with inflatable rear seat belts.
You dealer is being an idiot though. They know this stuff and should never have strung you along. They can't do anything about the stop sale but If he had been straight with you they might have preserved the sale and kept a customer. Maybe found you a similar truck without the inflatable seatbelts.
I don’t blame you. Just like every other industry, I can drive 50 miles and find 6-8 reputable Ford dealers...they have to be on their A-game every day, with every customer. Markets are ultra competitive today - regardless of what you’re buying but, for an PSD-KR shopper, their sales staff better be best in class. I’d shop elsewhere unless a buddy is at your dealership.
Definitely go with another dealer. That would be an immediate red flag for me. Some dealers think you have nowhere else to go. My closest local dealer was a dumb a$$ so I walked out. Glad I did, saved quite a bit of cash and love how I'm treated at the new dealership. Win Win in my book.
If there is a recall on a vehicle, the dealer can NOT sell it to you.
No **** - That's the whole point - they knew that before he ever showed up right? Then string 'em along for a week or so while he's jumping through hoops? WTF? I'd be pissed off too.
Need to start sending these nickle****ers billable hours.

I'm ok with the recall and no sale. But I had to find the truck and give them the VIN. It should have never made it to me getting a check from my bank. Then to string me along. That is the part that really made me mad. Is what it is now. Incompetence runs rampade even in dealerships. I will still get a PSD KR. Just not from that dealership.
Sorry to hear about your bad luck with your dealer. I would definitely pick a different dealer. Sounds like they are a bit shady when it comes to dealing with their customers.
Keep in mind, Ford states in the manual that you should not tow anything until you have 1000 miles on the vehicle.
You DO realize that you are supposed to put 1000 miles on the truck BEFORE towing an RV? This is the manufacture's break in requirement and failure to due this will be recorded in the onboard diagnostics, if there is a problem it could affect the warranty. Just say'n......
I completely feel your pain. I'm on the market for a new 250, or should I say was on the market. The level of incompetence / arrogance I experience with several Charlotte area dealers has completely turned me off.
Ford has a good product, however their dealers treat selling a $70K+ truck like they're selling a $20K focus. As a customer, I'd like to get to know a dealer and work with them, however thus far they've all acted like circus carnies.

BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! says “WE OWN WORK”!!!!! But if you don’t baby it, it will break!!!LOL!!
Put that puppy to work!!!! You DO realize that most class 8 rigsare hooked up with less than 10 miles on the odometer, don’t you???? And quite a few are pulling in excess of 100,000 lb!!
The 1000 mi. Is just a reccomendation. That is all!!!
While I was waiting on my truck to be delivered last year we custom ordered a 2017 Toyota Highlander. We had bought 4 new vehicles from this Toyota dealer in last 10 years. They took the order and a deposit (which kinda ticked me off). After several calls over the next couple of months they finally told me Toyota was not taking custom orders on the 2017 at that point. They wanted to find something for us. Picked up our deposit and drove 4 hours to get what we wanted. Will never deal with them again.
Recall is on seat belts. I just bought a F250 last week and the dealer had not performed recall on my particular truck and I also had to wait 2-3 days before they could deliver. The repair for recall did not come out until mid October from what I was told. So your probably not alone on this one bud.
