I assumed OP wanted to recover $ for a 6.8L transmission. He asked if it would fit a 7.3. It will not so I mentioned the 6.0 has same bolt pattern. So he would know it would fit the 6.0 too. Plus the 5.4 and 4.6.
Being modular bolt pattern it may even fit alot of modular fords, I don't know.
It will physically bolt to a 6.0L, but Ford never offered a 6.0L/4R100. So it would take a lot of inventing to make it work. While it will bolt to a 4.6L, the 6.8L has too much torque capacity. Shifts will be beyond firm.
Looking for engines that might be adaptive to a 4r100 1999 f250 with 7.3 in it just for a backup

Hi Tyler Dunn here I had a backup 7.3 engine my son talked me out of so I’m either going gas or back with diesel I have a 19991/2 f250 7.3 4r100 with373 rear just wanting to know what you guys would do my gut say 7.3 but I’m open to suggestions because of emissions are going to stop the diesel eventually any thoughts.
