bed sealer at front of bed

My 77 F250 CS has a pretty intact bed and I plan on spraying a color coded bed liner in it this month. However, I noticed that there is what looks like heavy duty factory seam sealer still on both sides of the bed as it comes down to join the flat part of the bed. Is that still available for use on the bed thereby sealing it from water intrusion and then spraying the bed? If it is, where can I get it? Thanks.

3M seam sealer or 3M window weld. Get a cartridge for ease of application.

I think the issue in that location is that the bed is made to drain in the front. If you load it up with sealer, just park down hill or it becomes a bath tub pretty quick.

I always drill 3/4" holes in the lower grooves in the 4 corners to remedy this. And seal the front for it will rust out underneath with mentioned sealers. I use 3M. I made my applicator much cheaper than 3M's price to use in a regular caulk gun. I'd only buy the applicator if you do it often.

I used to use my bed as a rain gauge. Sometimes folks run the seam filler along the fron of the bed to seal it; this will trap water. If you use a relatively small (1/4" bit, you can put about 4 equally spaced holes along that front seam and it will be inconspicuous and drain efficiently. I just came through over 40" of rain from Harvey and my truck drained completely very soon after the rain stopped.

I believe the OP is referring to the sides of the bed where "it meets the flat part" - the section that is not ribbed fore and aft of the wheel wells.

Right. The part I am referring to is the flat ribbed portion that butts up against the back wall of the bed. There's a 1/8 to 1/4 inch gap that I want to wire brush, Ospho, seal and then paint. I understand the dangers of sealing a bed.
