I had a DIESELSITE 2011-2016 Ford 6.7L Fuel Filter / Water Separator on my 2012.
I took it off before trading it in. I was told that this system will not work on the new 2017s. Now I have a system that I can't use. Dang it!!!!!
Does anyone make something like this for the 2017s?
- Airdog has nothing listed for 2017s
- FASS has nothing listed for 2017s
- DieselSite states: the older 2011-2016 Ford 6.7L Fuel Filter / Water Separator System "WILL NOT" be able to be used on the system on the 2017. The fuel pump has been moved from on the frame to inside the tank, and because our system needs to be between the tank and the pump, the system will no longer function properly. We currently have no system/solution in development for the new trucks.
That is a bummer.
Just wondering if it will not fit on the 17s are willing to sell it? Just sold my 7.3. I don't have my 6.7 truck yet but I'm waiting for the dealer in Ohio to open so I can talk to them about hopefully my new Truck. So this might be a good addition for it.
Call Baldwin Tech support and find what filter will work best under the OEM pressure and flow. Then splice your own in using a Baldwin filter base such as a FB1310. If you don't mind doing some research and a little fabrication, it should work great and save you a lot of money. That's assuming they have one that will work with the application.
