I really don't know but they've been doing it for several years apparently. I'm guessing part of the state fair.

It's at the Tillamook County fair in Oregon. It started in the 20's when model T cars were current. The video is from 2011, so the "87 years ago" is 1924.

Not quite sure the pigs look forward to that event, though...
