Best place to buy parts for our trucks?...and LMC quality???
So I need to make a large order of parts for a 1965 F100. I found a lot of terrible reviews for LMC, especially on their sheet metal and chrome. Anyone have any suggestions for the best quality parts for these? any experience with LMC?
Just wanted to add that I took the 'easy' route and bought mostly re-popped parts and pieces, and only time will tell how they will wear etc. I was in a rush to get my truck done, so wasn't willing to search for NOS, which would have been tough to find in my area anyways.
Throughout my restoration I have used many, LMC, Macs, Dennis Carpenter, NPD, Orange Truck Shop, Sacramento Ford.... too many too list. For most of my orders came from Macs, their customer service and quality were both excellent. Purchase your rubber seals and weatherstrips from Dennis Carpenter... worth the extra $ IMO. But as Dan said... I did repop parts for the most part, unless NLA... then found NOS with ND's help
I have placed numerous orders form LMC. Hit and miss on the quality. On several occasions items were within Dennis carpenter packaging that was surrounded by LMC packaging.
Carolina classics in NC and Early Ford V-8 sales in SC are other options. If it is electrical in nature ask Ron Francis first - may not be original but the quality and support knowledge is incredible.
