Hi,

Have a 2016 F250 with steel wheels and want to put a factory alloy on it. My favorite alloy is the 05-07? 17" with round holes. (I've always preferred running the smallest wheel possible with the biggest tire possible) I found a set in great shape.

I found a ton of threads about putting wheels on a coil sprung truck onto a 99-04 leaf sprung truck. Can I assume that all 05-16 wheels are essentially interchangeable and will sit in the same position as my 17" steel wheels?

Secondly, are these wheels forged? (Are all OEM super duty aluminum wheels forged?)

Seems like simple questions, but could not find any clear answers! Thanks very much.

 

All 05 + wheels will interchange, however you might run into a TPMS light issue which may require swapping the sensors over.

 

Cool thanks! Going to keep the stock steel wheels and tires for winter use, and get new sensors for the aluminum wheels.

 

I put 17's on my 2016. There was a hair of room between caliper and wheel. I'd always wished I had waited for 18's due to that clearance. So I recommend 18's. Here is a pic of 17's on my my 2016 and 18's on my 2017. The 17's were aftermarket 8 hole, the 18's were factory 8 hole from a 2007.:

If the 17s will fit that's good enough for me. Wish I could run 16s like on my 2004 (especially the 99-04 16" round hole Alcoa's)! Although the 18s are nearly an identical style. They look friggen great on that 17, don't really understand the appeal of the crazy style wheels.

Going to run 285/70 R17 Cooper ST Pro tires on them!

Put Nitto tires of the same size on my dad's 2010 work truck and they fit perfect and look great.

 

Both are 6.2's. I just have the '17 now. My 2016 had 285/70/17's on it in that pic, the wheels were "0" offset so they stuck out quite a bit, that's one thing I didn't like. But you can't find much for simple 8 hole wheels with a +18mm offset. The 285's looked good, I also think the 295/70/17 would have looked just as good, if not better.
