This is a bit of an odd question, but something I wanted to get an opinion on. I found the timing cover leaking a small amount of coolant. Since the gasket is weak already should I be worried that the gasket may begin to leak coolant into my oil?
Yes if the gasket on the inner ends of the water ports leak you could get water into your crankcase . Mine started leaking after I replaced the water pump , the timing cover uses a few of the same bolts and sometimes when replacing the pump it can disturb a weak timing cover gasket . You could try snugging the bolts down a bit more it might buy you a bit of time but you should replace the gasket as soon as possible. These covers are also famous for corrosion around the water ports so that could be a reason for leaking too . It's a pretty straight forward job to replace them , the only special tools you would want would be to remove the balancer .

No coolant is getting in the oil yet. I was just wondering if it would likely start leaking into the oil if I let it go longer.
Thabks for the opinions. I will keep an eye on it for the time being and look at getting it replaced sometime down the line. It is only a small leak right now(wont leave any coolant on the ground or any heavy build up on the engine or the cross member under the engine). I just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with these leaks suddenly getting much worse.
