Getting back into this on and off project from I don't know how many years now.... 2wd dually I have added 4wd to in the signature...
Life has made me back burner this project quite a few times....time to get back on it again....Half of what I have researched has far left my brain..
First thing I'm thinking is to get this thing sitting like I think it should , A nice stout factory4wd f350 of the mid 90's...
If I'm correct all I need to get this thing from 2wd to 4wd height is a new set of u bolts, some factory style 4" spacer blocks , and a new 4wd brake hose for the axle... oh and to get rid of the 2wd anti sway bar...
Hopefully I don't start running into driveshaft troubles...running a 1345 transnfer case with a 86 f250 driveshaft...the 250 had a sterling my dually has the dana, slight difference in heights and pinion lengths between all these parts
What is the best place to get some blocks and u bolts?
Thanks in advance for any help..
I don't think you will ever find exactly what you need, since Ford never made a 4x4 dually pickup before the superduty came out in 99. What you will find is cab and chassis 4x4 dually trucks. When you start messing with them you will find the rear springs are different, the rearend is a different width, and the frame behind the cab is a different width than a pickup.
People convert the 2wd dually pickups to 4x4 all the time using the front pieces from a cab and chassis, but the rearend parts of a cab and chassis are useless to a person that has a dually pickup.
Understood on the differences between the pickup vs. Cab and chassis frame dimensions, spring widths, and axle mount width ' s.
I'm hoping I can just follow what the factory did on an f350 4wd pickup and should get me in the ball park...

Ok, I got it. A f350 4x4 with regular wheels in the back. I worked on a 94 once, it did have 4 inch blocks, thicker than f250 blocks because of the dana 60 frontend height.
