Hey everyone,
So I'm looking to purchase a new boat that I also want to have a trailer built for in case of a hurricane or something where I have to get it out and away from the beach in a hurry, I'll get all the OSOW permits, , anyways my point is, will an F-750 tractor pull that? Weight of the boat will be around 33,100 lbs loaded, and I don't know how much this big a trailer will add to it, but do you think I'd be able to do it with the biggest baddest truck ford's got going today?
Why, in the face of a $100,000+ outlay, are you asking questions on the internet on a non-manufacturer website?
I've yet to be steered wrong by the good folks here at FTE, and I couldn't find the exact towing capacity for the tractor model, so if you could post that link, I'd be appreciative, or if it's an only on desktop thing still yeah, but anyways, I've also asked on the boatus forum so I just wanted some other input on the specific model.
Don't you just head out to sea away from the storm anyway?
Yes if the time off is there, I'm going into a new career field that heavily limits my time off, but anyways I'll be storing it on my property in the off-season, if my whole buying this thing pans out . But if there's an impending hurricane or something that is gonna put the risk of my multi-dollar-sign boat at risk and I don't know if I'll be able to outrun it, it'd be easy enough to bring the trailer down with the pilot cars and run it to my house. Gotta love knowing people
I throw a flag on the CDL license necessity. If in your state (?) you can drive a Class A motorhome w/o a CDL, then you DON'T need a CDL for a F-750, pulling a trailer or not. I drive a F-800 (33,000 GVW) for personal use in Washington State.

OP is in Florida. F750 starts at 30,200, which requires a CDL unless he is just running the truck around with his own stuff, not for sale.
My understanding from an outsider in Aust.
Older historic trucks NOT FOR HIRE can be used for personal use in the states without a CDL. Maybe an older (25 + years) truck would suit to haul out his boat.
I have a 76' LN8000 Louisville I'm preparing to use as my own boat hauler.
